WILLISTON, N.D. – A man who escaped from police custody here has been apprehended in Glendive, Mont., the Williams County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Preston Sonstegaard, 25, who was being held on probation revocation charges, escaped early Oct. 1 while he was being treated at the Mercy Medical Center emergency room in Williston.
Sonstegaard was apprehended in Glendive late Tuesday afternoon after a short foot pursuit, said Sgt. Detective Caleb Fry of the Williams County Sheriff’s Office. Further charges against Sonstegaard are pending, Fry said.
