Alaska senator plans Bakken visit

WILLISTON, N.D. – U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, the ranking member on the Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources, will tour western North Dakota next week.

Murkowski, who is being hosted by Sen. John Hoeven, will be in the Williston area on Monday and Tuesday. They will hold a press conference Monday afternoon at the Williston Sloulin Field International Airport and tour ongoing road, housing, hospital and infrastructure projects.

On Tuesday, the senators will hold a roundtable discussion with tribal and industry leaders and tour a drilling rig.
